Articulation and phonological delays and disorders (Pediatric): Articulation refers to how speech sounds are produced using the articulators such as the lips, tongue, hard and soft palate. Phonology refers to a rule based process of errorful sound productions. For example a child may substitute the sound /t/ for the sound /k/ and say "tey" for "key".
